Tampa Bay's FIRST Completely Green Community
The Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC)
has developed demanding standards for builders who wish to build a “green” home. Creating an entire green community is even more difficult, especially when building a new community within an already-established neighborhood.
The FGBC has certified Glencairn Cottages
as the first “Green Development” in the Tampa Bay region where every home will also be certified as a
FGBC “Green Home.” Our commitment to a green future has been written into the community’s covenants and deed restrictions.
The FGBC is a nonprofit Florida corporation dedicated to improving the built environment. Their mission is "to provide a statewide green building program with environmental and economic benefits."
